6-Day Digital Photography Workshop

Let’s face it – technology can sometimes be confusing. Are you perplexed by the whole idea of digital photography? This workshop is designed for film photographers who want to make the transition to digital capture. We’ll examine the latest digital cameras and explain the differences between the film and digital formats. File formats, memory cards, RAW capture, image transfer and archiving, white balance, histograms – there’s a wholly new language now which requires translation, and you’ll be fluent in Digitaleeze before you leave. You’ll learn how to use all these great new tools intuitively, and you’ll be able to apply all these new digital tools to unleash your creative potential.

We will provide you with a framework that will enable you to control the fine nuances of your work in a way never possible in the wet darkroom. When you return home, you will have a template to build upon as you continue to expand your command of Photoshop.

Throughout the workshop, we’ll discuss the visual and graphic elements that characterize strong, successful images. The immediacy of digital capture allows us to review and discuss our images within moments after making them – another important tool for developing our creative vision. You’ll leave the workshop understanding how to use your camera, how to apply Photoshop editing tools to your images and how to create powerful images which tell your story and unleash your creativity.
