You’ve heard about photo styling and know it sounds like an interesting career. But what does a photo stylist really do? What happens during a regular work day? How do you get started?
These questions and many others are explored in Photo Styling 101. Using “Photo Styling, How to Build Your Career and Succeed,” by instructor Susan Linnet Cox, as a guidebook you will find out if this is the career for you. Descriptions of the photo crew, a typical day, and your styling kit are included. You’ll find out what’s required of a stylist and how to build a kit and a portfolio.
Fun and challenging assignments will be presented weekly, ending with a final project: creating a styled image of your own.
Course concludes with an optional group conference call giving you an opportunity to communicate with fellow students and your instructor.
How the Class Works
You will recieve your lessons as PDFs to study on your own schedule at your own pace. Assignments are completed and uploaded to our Gallery for students. There you receive comments and feedback from your instuctor and view the work of other students. We also have a password-protected blog, the Forum, where students of photostylingworkshops.com can network and communicate.
